Cindy Draper

How long have you been involved with higher education policy administration?

Four years.

What drew you to working in higher education?

I have always had an interest in the education system, teaching business technology classes at a community college & various business classes at OSU. I took a position at OSU 8 years ago to develop an internal control program, following my 20-year career managing accounting & H/R departments. This eventually evolved into developing a new program for fiscal policy.

Why did you become an ACUPA member? What are you looking forward to from your membership?

I joined ACUPA to have access to information related to policy administration, industry standards & common practices. The annual conference provides valuable ideas & an opportunity to network with peers who are responsible for similar programs.

What are the main policy issues you are working on?

Updating all of our old fiscal policies into a new structure.
