I found it so encouraging to work with students who were highly motivated to earn their degree to serve their community and improve the lives of others. Why did you become an ACUPA member?I became an ACUPA member to be able to participate in professional development in the area of policy administration best practices as well as have access to the resources available such as templates, etc. through the ACUPA membership. I also hope to be able to serve on a committee in the near future. What do you find most beneficial from your membership?I have found the access to resources such as templates to be the most beneficial, as well as attending the recent conference in Madison. What are the main policy issues you are working on?The overarching focus within policy administration at our University is ensuring all policies are up to date, accessible, and equitably applied. Additionally, I am working towards implementing a system in which new or revised policies are measured for their effectiveness. Give us a fun fact about your institution.Every employee meeting begins with the reading of our mission, vision, and values. This has been a practice that really sets the tone for the conversation and ensures alignment moving into the agenda.
